Re: Movie Recomendations.
Has anyone seen 'The Unborn'? It's the scariest fucking movie I've ever watched, shit my pants at least twice while watching it lol. Me and my mate stayed up all night after watching it because we were too scared to go to sleep haha! We're 24 years old for fucks sake!
![]() Seriously though, I was expecting some shit teen horror movie or some crap that fits into the 'horror' stereotype of late, but I ended up being very surprised, so if you haven't watched it, I suggest you download it then watch it in a dark room on your own with a shotgun...you'll feel like you need it later

Re: Movie Recomendations.
The Unborn.....good story, not scary in the least. Always knew you were a big girl underneath it all Ash
![]() Watch Paranormal Activity in the dark whilst a little bit drunk...on your own, late at night with an open mind.....that should scare you if the Unborn did. Sherlock Holmes, forget you ever saw or read anything to do with it before you go to see this movie. It's a good action / comedy movie and the carachters interactions are very amusing. It's just not the Sherlock and Watson we all know and love. It's been hollywoodised. Like I said, it's a good enjoyable fun film but, it's not the Holmes you would expect from the old films and books.

Re: Movie Recomendations.
New ones to add to the list,
The Good, The Bad and the Weird......as Bob_Dole will tell you this film is FUCKING AWESOME!! the title gives away the inspiration for this flick and you always know what's coming but it always has a twist to it. It is Korean after all. It's fanfuckingtastic! REC 2, follows on exactly where REC left off (remade as quarantine in the US), it's Spanish with subtitles and the story is a bit silly, but it's just a superbly made film. The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day...if you're a fan of the 1st film you're going to love this film as well. It follows on a couple of years after the 1st one with the same level of violence and bloodshed, a lot of bad language and a prayer before blowing someone's head off! Good fun to watch. Black Dynamite,,,HOLY SHIT! A film made to...well.....I dunno....it's like a homage a pisstake and yet a complete purposely made full on Blaxploitation movie that is...well....stunning! I laughed from start to finish yet never actually knew whether I was supposed to be or not but I guess I was. They drop out of character and change accents half way through a scene, the type of thing that in a "normal" movie gets cut out, but here it's done on purpose and quite frankly, thank God for that. It's refreshingly wonderful....entertaining...funny....violent....re tro....new.....brilliant. Ye, I liked it, I liked it a lot.

Re: Movie Recomendations.
The hurt locker...not the film I was expecting, but a damn good film. Quite gritty, but it's more about the emotions involved in being a bomb disposal squad in Baghdad than big exlosions (though there are a few). Maybe not the best character study ever made, but it does the job.
I liked it.

Re: Movie Recomendations.
The Hurt Locker
A great movie following an EOD squad deployed in Iraq. This film definitely is deserving of the Oscar that it won, as it immediately captured me from the onset and kept me riveted throughout. Character development was a bit fuzzy at times, yet was only a minor distraction in the movie. The film has plenty of memorable moments and would be one on my lists of movies that I'd watch again. For what this film lacks in marquee star billing, it makes up for with sheer immersion power. This motion picture has explosions (though not as many as you'd expect), snipers, and a stand-off involving a car and a 9mm handgun. What more can you ask for? 8.9/10

Re: Movie Recomendations.
The Wrestler
This movie begins as an almost chase-cam mystery sequence, doing well to hide the identity of the main character for the first few minutes. While intriguing, it unfolds to reveal our main character, Randy "The Ram" Robinson, a "used-to-be" professional wrestler whose prime passed some twenty years before. This film does well to move its story along, although I did feel it stall slightly around the halfway point. This doesn't detract from the movie itself, as it gains momentum again quickly enough as the main character works his way through the brutality of the ring, an estranged relationship with his daughter, and a stripper that sees him as a "Customer". Rourke plays the role of a lifetime in this flick, adding his own bit of charm and clunkiness that make him so identifiable. The film is dark throughout, gloomy, even in the lighter scenes with Rourke cracking jokes or dancing in a bar. It's watchable, but too predictable to be one I'd consider for a second viewing. 6.9/10
